When I first launched Caregiver Network in 1996 I started On My Mind, a stream-of-consciousness type review of my caregiver life as I saw and felt it.
Now that my father has passed away (April 24, 2000) I am so thankful I took the time to talk about my caregiving experiences. Every now and then I read through past entries that bring back the times when my father was relatively healthy. I also recorded my thoughts and feelings as my father was dying. They give me the opportunity to relive a very sad but special time in my life.
I hope that you benefit from reading On My Mind and that you consider starting your own caregiving diary if you haven't already done so. I think you'll be glad you did.
